Some notes of last week

Well, it was Jeanine's Birthday Week! Enough said. Of course it would be full of fun! We met up with Joe and Brian on Wednesday and we went to culture outselves near Trinity College starting at Doyle's, then The Globe (where I met a dude who worked for Hostel World that proceeded to give me his business card. Awesomeness.) where I tried a Paulner's (expensive and not that great), and then off to the Porterhouse. Porterhouse is a very fun place with different atmospheres in one place. I personally enjoy the dancing the most. I especially enjoy our long walk back to our residence every time.
Thursday night, our traditional dinner night, we had the boys over for dinner. I had just heard about how the economy is doing and how it personally affected my future, so I really looked forward to the amazing dinner of homemade supreme extreme pizza, garlic knots, and Elizabeth's yummy m&m cookies turned into bars. The boys were so stuffed as 4 pizzas were made. Then a bit of Super Troopers was watched. All in all an early night as Galway and the Aran Islands were in our forecast for the weekend ahead.
Friday we went to class, 9am-1pm straight. We then had to book it to the bus station across Grafton street (intensely packed and busy, especially with all the crazy umbrellas when it rains!) to get to the bus. While we were on our way searching, we were not quite sure if we were on the right track and asked these two boys ahead of us that looked like they were traveling as well if we were going the right way. They said that were headed the same way and that we could follow them. We proceeded to talk and discovered that they were actually Conor's (the only boy in our class) roomates!! Way too funny!
Got a round-trip ticket for Galway (student 18 euros) and got the bus just in time. Turned out Kayleen and Elizabeth did not make the earlier bus, so they were actually on the bus with us! The bus ride was super long (4 and a half hours maybe 5) and we slept most of the way. We got off in Galway and headed to our first hostel experience in Sleepzone! It was not a bad place at all. There were some other roomates in our room, maybe Spaniards. We went and had dinner at the King's Head where I had chips for dinner. We were able to meet up with the boys, Adam, Jake, Joe, and Derrick along with his girlfriend Erica that turned out to be really nice. We also met two guys on the bus from the states heading to Galway. We met up with the guys in their room in the same hostel and were hanging out with them until going back out to the Kings head and another cool pub next door. To be continued....
